Pineau des Charentes is a traditional French fortified wine, crafted by blending fresh grape must with Cognac eau-de-vie. This process, known as “mutage,” halts the natural fermentation, preserving all the fruit’s vibrant aromas and depth of flavour. Since 1945, it has held the prestigious Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC) status — a guarantee of its authenticity and exceptional quality.

We currently offer two expressions of pineau des Charentes, patiently crafted and matured in oak barrels over several years.

In order to offer you the very best, we have chosen to blend old pineaux for their sweet wisdom with younger pineaux for their pep.

Our dedication has been recognised not only by our loyal customers but also by Le Guide Hachette des Vins, which selected both of our pineau des Charentes in its 2021 edition.

White pineau des Charentes

This Pineau combines delicacy and elegance in a delicate balance.

Tasting notes:

The color is golden amber, luminous and seductive, announcing the richness of this liqueur wine. The nose opens with intense aromas of peach, citrus and exotic fruit, enhanced by delicate notes of honey and walnut. The palate is smooth, unctuous and harmonious, dominated by fruit with a lovely freshness underpinning it. The finish is long, warm and delicately honeyed, leaving an impression of controlled sweetness.

Grape varieties & Production:

A blend of equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is macerated without skin contact to preserve its finesse and clarity. Ageing in oak barrels adds roundness and complexity.
